A part of circuit is shown in the given fig. The      wire A is a thick copper wire and wire B and C     are identical wires of manganin. The currents                in wires A, B, C will be respectively :

    A)  1 A, 1A, 2A

    B)  0, 2A, 2A

    C)  2A, 0, 2A

    D)  2A, 2A, 2A

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Resistance of a wire \[R\propto \frac{1}{{{r}^{2}}}\] Wire A is very thick/so itss resistance will be negligible, so total current will pass through this wire.                 so, current through \[A=2A\] current through \[B=0,\] current through \[C=2A\]
