    Solution :

                    We know that, \[I=\frac{E-e}{R}\] According to the question,                 \[30=\left( \frac{e}{E} \right)\times 100\]                 \[30=\frac{e}{50}\times 100\]                 \[e=15\,V\]                 \[R=\frac{50-15}{12}=2.9\,\Omega \]
