The equation to the sides of a triangle are \[x-3y=0,\]\[4x+3y=5\]and \[3x+y=0\]. The line \[3x-4y=0\] passes through the:

    A)  in centre

    B)  centroid

    C)  orthocentre

    D)  circumcentre

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Key Idea: In a right angled triangle, the orthocentre is the point in which they are right angled. Given sides of a triangle are\[x-3y=0\],\[4x+3y=5\]and\[3x+y=0\] Since, the lines \[x-3y=0\] and \[3x+y=0\] perpendicular to each other, therefore point of intersection \[(0,\,\,0)\] is the required orthocentre.
