    Solution :

    Two perpendicular S.H.Ms are \[x={{a}_{1}}\cos \omega t\]                                        ....(1) and\[y={{a}_{2}}2\cos \omega t\]                            ....(2) From eqn (1)\[\frac{x}{{{a}_{1}}}=\cos wt\]and from eqn (2) \[\frac{y}{{{a}_{2}}}=2\cos \omega t\]\[\therefore \]\[y=2\frac{{{a}_{2}}}{{{a}_{1}}}x\]
