  • question_answer
    34.          \[\] of a transistor is 100 and input resistance is \[10\,\Omega \] and out resistance is \[10\,0\,\Omega \]. Then power gain of the transistor is: (under CE)

    A)                  \[{{10}^{3}}\]

    B)  \[{{10}^{4}}\]

    C)                  \[{{10}^{5}}\]

    D)         \[{{10}^{6}}\]

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

From the formula the power gain of a transistor is given by \[{{A}_{p}}={{\beta }^{2}}\cdot \frac{{{R}_{o}}}{{{R}_{i}}}\] (where \[{{R}_{o}}\] is output resistance and \[{{R}_{i}}\] is input resistance) \[\beta =100\] so, putting the values, we get \[{{A}_{p}}={{(100)}^{2}}\times \frac{10}{100}={{10}^{3}}\]
