    Solution :

    Downs syndrome (also known as Mangolian idiocy) is a trisomic condition resulting   from   non-disjunction   of 21 chromosome. The child is mentally retarted, had flat face and eyes like those found in mangolian race (and hence the name). The chances of down syndrome in child increases with mothers age and become alarmingly high after the mother reaches the age of 40.
