If temperature is changed from \[27{}^\circ C\] to\[327{}^\circ C\]. The ratio of K.E. molecules at two temperatures:

    A)  3 : 1

    B)  2 : 3

    C)  2 : 1

    D)         1 : 2

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

    \[{{E}_{k}}=\frac{3}{2}kT\]           or            \[{{E}_{k}}\propto T\] Hence \[\frac{{{E}_{{{k}_{1}}}}}{{{E}_{{{k}_{2}}}}}=\frac{{{T}_{1}}}{{{T}_{2}}}=\frac{(27+273)}{(327+273)}=\frac{300}{600}=\frac{1}{2}\] so the ratio =1:2
