    Given: Refractive index of water \[({{\mu }_{2}})=1.33\,\,.\] We know that\[\frac{{{v}_{2}}}{{{v}_{1}}}=\frac{{{\mu }_{1}}}{{{\mu }_{2}}}=\frac{1}{1.33}.\] Therefore,\[{{v}_{2}}=\frac{{{v}_{1}}}{1.33}=\frac{3\times {{10}^{8}}}{1.33}=2.25\times {{10}^{8}}\,m\text{/}s.\]
