    [B] Dicker and Tio (1959) discovered photorespiration in tobacco plant. It is a light dependent process of oxygenation of ribulose bis phosphate (RuBP). During this process CO2 is liberated and O2 is consumed. C4 plants avoid photorespiration by following Hatch Slack Pathway.
