    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

     The resistance of portion of resistor subtending an angle of\[60{}^\circ \]at the centre of the circle \[=\frac{1}{2}\times 30=5\,\Omega \] Now\[5\,\Omega ,\]and the resistance\[25\,\Omega \]of the remaining portion are connected in parallel \[\therefore \] \[\frac{1}{R}=\frac{1}{5}+\frac{1}{25}=\frac{6}{25}\Omega \] So, the effective resistance between X and Y \[=\frac{25}{6}\Omega \]
