    Solution :

    Total potential \[{{V}^{2}}={{V}_{R}}^{2}+{{V}_{L}}^{2}\] \[{{(20)}^{2}}={{(12)}^{2}}+{{V}_{L}}^{2}\] \[{{V}_{L}}=16volt\]
