    Solution :

    We know that                       \[{{M}_{1}}{{V}_{1}}={{M}_{2}}{{V}_{2}}\]                 \[0.05\times {{V}_{1}}=0.4\times 100\] \[\therefore \]             \[{{V}_{1}}=\frac{0.4\times 100}{0.05}\]                                \[=800\,\,ml\]
