    Solution :

    Given,\[{{n}_{A}}=256\,\,Hz\] \[\therefore \]Possible frequencies of tuning fork                 \[B=256\pm 4\]                     \[=260\,\,or\,\,252\,\,Hz\] On loading wax on tuning fork\[A\], its frequency will decrease. Now, 2 beats/s are obtained. This is possible only when rig \[=252Hz.\]
