    37. A certain amount is distributed among A, B and A gets 3/16 and B gets 1/4 of the whole amount C gets Rs. 81, then B gets?

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    Let the whole amount is = x Then,    A gets \[=\frac{3}{16}x\] B gets \[=\frac{1}{4}x\] And      C gets  \[=x-\left( \frac{3}{16}+\frac{1}{4} \right)x\] \[=x-\frac{3+4}{16}x\] \[=x-\frac{7}{16}x\] \[=\frac{9}{16}x\] \[\frac{9}{16}x=81\] \[x=\frac{81\times 16}{9}\] \[x=Rs.\,\,144\] Hence,  B gets \[=\frac{1}{4}\times 144\] \[=Rs.\,\,36\]
