    Solution :

    Work done by 1 man in one day = Work done by 1 boy in 2 days So, 1 man = 2 boy Now, 8 men and 12 children or (8+6) = 14 men can do a piece of work in 9 days. Then, 12 men can do the work in \[\frac{9\times 14}{12}=10\,\,\frac{1}{2}\,\,days\]
