Answer the following question In 120-150 words:
    Describe Marvel as an opportunist.
    Or
George Eliot has portrayed Godfrey as morally weak character. Comment.

    Answer:

Marvel is an extremely important character in the novel, ?The invisible Man?, written by H. G. Wells. He is a tramp-a poor homeless, jobless wanderer. He can hardly even afford shabby and old fashioned clothes. Thine and shoelace are a substitute for buttons. Strangely enough, he drinks a lot.             He is a very opportunistic person. He certainly does like working for him as his visible man is powerful, he accept his terms and condition and gets ready to work for him as his visible companion. He is smart and clever in exploiting his encounter with Griffin. He starts selling stories and he gains more and more wealth. He is shrewd as well. He has the books, but he hides his possessions. He perhaps plans to sell them in exchange for money, when a chance arises this way his hunger for money keeps on expending. He proves to be suspect in taking advantage of the circumstances.
    Or
Godfrey Cass is a character who does not display and developmental arch rill the end of the story. He is a coward without any moral courage though he was not an evil person. He does not desire to harm anyone. He does not like to shoulder responsibility or account for his actions, and prefers to avoid conflicts. Elliot does not offer much insight into his character, his early marriage fell apart but we are made to believe that it was not his fault; he cares for Eppie, but he does not work on it. He is an unsettled man, afraid of taking tough decisions and lets others take charge of his life and actions.
