    Exp. [a] Fly ash is produced whenever combustion of solid material takes place. Fly ash is one such residue which rises with gases into the atmosphere. The ash which does not rise is termed as bottom ash. Fly ash can be used in the production of bricks for construction of building and roads. Fly ash can be used as a replacement of cement and is used in concrete roads. Fly ash composition are as follow
    (i) Aluminium silicate (in large amounts)
    (ii) Silicon dioxide
    (iii) Calcium oxide
