    Discuss impression formation.

    Answer:

When we meet people, we draw inferences about their personal qualities. This is impression formation. The person who forms the impression is called the perceiver and the individual about whom the impression is formed is called the target.
The process of impression formation has three sub-processes:
    (i) Selection: Collecting information about the target person.
(ii) Organization: Combining information in a systematic way.
(iii) Inference: Drawing conclusion about the kind of person the target is.
