    In the 16th Century the Catholic Church was dominated by the Rome. There were so many deformities that came in the path of church which needed to improve. For improving Catholic church, the movements took place in the 16th century which was called Protestant Reformation. Martin Luther was a very popular social reformer of 16th century, he wrote a well famous book ?Ninety five theses?. This book totally criticised many malpractices and rituals of the church. After the movement, several radiations against Catholic Church were developed.

    Chandu Menon, a subjudge from Malabar, tried to translate the novel ?Henrietta Temple? in    Malyalam which was written by Benjamin Disraeli in SOCIAL SCIENCE. But he changed his mind as he got to know that the readers in Kerala were not accepted the way in which the SOCIAL SCIENCE novel characters were lived. Their lifestyle and the way of speaking and manners were unknown to them. They would find a direct translation of an SOCIAL SCIENCE novel dreadfully boring. So, he gave up this idea.
