    Answer:

    The shift from hand printing to mechanical printing led to the print revolution in Europe as printing became a revolutionary-thing for the masses for getting information quickly.
    (i) In the hand printing period, the printed books were resembled at a place and were not available for all to read, it was just a manuscript which was not available for the masses.
    (ii) Handwriting became more stylish after the invention of mechanical printing. Letters were    made up of metals in this type of printing style.
    (iii) Paper borders were made and some other patterns were used in the printing to make it more attractive.
    (iv) Books were printed for rich section of the society in the Europe and it was decorated on his own bill and designed by his own choice.

    The novels fulfil the task of nation building during    the British period in India as novels glorified India?s past, and created a sense of nationalism among the hearts of the people of India and also the collective belongings so that the Indians came together against the britishers.
    (i) Novels in all parts of the country, written in all main Indian languages helped in the national integration in the entire parts of India against British rule.
    (ii) Some novelists like Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyaya patronized the national movement. He gave the idea of nationalism and freedom by his writings like Anand Math? and Kapalkundala?.
    (iii) Novels are written on Great Marathas and Rajputs. These portrayed the nation full of nationalism, integration, freedom, heroism and adventure to the readers of India.
    (iv) Novels worked in the nation building process by taking up the causes of poors, women and untouchables.
    (v) Novels attracted the people towards racial discrimination in the society and the discrimination done by the Britishers against Indians.
