    Solution :

Binomial nomenclature is a system in which scientific name consists of two parts or epithet. This system was proposed by Carolus Linnaeus in 1753 in his book "Species Plantarum". According to this system, every organism is named in a way that its name is having two epithets-one generic and specific, eg, Mangifera indica, Mangifem is the name of genus and indica is species. There  are  certain  rules  of binomial nomenclature [a] The names are in Greek or Latin language. [b] Generic name begins with capital letter and is placed before specific name. The specific name begins with small letter. [c] The scientific name should either be underlined or italicized. [d] Name of the authority should be written after specific epithet in an abbreviated form.
