    Answer:

    Ethanoic acid  have one oxygen atom more and two hydrogen atoms less than ethanol   In general

    •  Loss of hydrogen is known as oxidation.            
    • Gain of oxygen is known as oxidation.
      Therefore, it is an oxidation reaction.
