                        (a) Oestrogen At the onset of puberty in females, the ovaries begin to secrete this hormone. It produces secondary sexual characters in females and prepares the body for pregnancy. (b) Growth Hormone It is secreted by the anterior lobe of pituitary, it promotes growth and development of body. (c) Insulin It is secreted by pancreas. It controls the rate of oxidation of glucose, help sliver and muscle (cells to absorb glucose from the blood). (d) Thyroxin it is secreted by the thyroid gland. It regulates the carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism in the body.
