    Asexual Reproduction Sexual Reproduction
    It involves only one parent, It often involves two parents.
    Gametes are not produced, Gametes are produced.
    No fertilization and zygote formation. Fertilization and zygote formation is observed.
    Meiosis does not occur at anytime during reproduction, Meiosis occurs at the time of gamete formation.
    The reason why variations are observed in offspring formed by sexual reproduction is during sexual reproduction, two types of gametes fuses. Although the gametes have same number of chromosomes, their DMA is not identical. This bring different sets of characters in the offspring.
