Answer:

(i) In case of lower plants such as Chlamydomonas, Spirogyra, etc. The mitotic cell divisions occurs during the formation of gametophyte from haploid spores and meiotic divisions occur in the zygote during the formation of haploid spores. The honey bees, wasps and ants are examples of some of the haploid insects where cell divisions occur. (ii) In case of angiosperms, the synergids and antipodal cells of the embryo sac are haploid in which no cell division occurs and they get degenerated.
