(b) Diplontic life cycle is found in gymnosperms and angiosperms. The dominant phase is diploid saprophyte plant develop from zygote. (c) Haplodiplontic life cycle It is an intermediate conditions exhibited by bryophytes and Pteridophyta. Here haploid gametophytic stage alternates with diploid saprophytic stage.
