Those who can bear all can dare all

    Answer:

A model answer has been provided for students' reference. It is strongly recommended that students prepare the answer on their own.   Those who can bear all can dare all. This holds good at all levels-individual, social, national and organisational levels. The ability or attitude to endure in a given situation or environment is of utmost importance for all. Such an attitude makes one proactive in any kind of situation be it easy or difficult.   In any given situation one's response will be either reactive or proactive. One may have positive response towards a situation or negative response. But for becoming effective in life one should cultivate a balanced attitude or neutral attitude. This makes possible the development of endurance. Lord Buddha regards endurance as the most fundamental virtue for success in life. Thomas Alva Edison, the inventor of electric bulb owes his success to endurance. He once commented that genius is ninety percent perspiration and ten percent inspiration. It is said that Thomas Alva Edison performed hundreds of experiment to invent the electric bulb. He remained neutral in all the failures. This attitude ultimately brought him success. There are many instances in history which proves this point. Napoleon regarded endurance as a very important quality of leadership. He said that losing a battle does not mean losing the war. In other words. One should be prepared to face the ups and downs in life. Lord Buddha once said the world we live in is in a state of flux. There is no certainty-situations do not remain the same always. In this context, the best we can do is to remain neutral, that is, develop the attitude of come what may.   In fact, when one develops such an attitude no obstacle remains an obstacle any more. This is true for organisations as well as society at large. We may take the instance of a nation like Japan. Japan is not endowed with any natural resource. It is prone to natural disasters but due to the influence of Buddhism which encourages endurance Japan has developed tremendously. Those who can bear all can dare all- the quality of endurance is a sine quo non for the entrepreneurs. We know that risk taking or uncertainty bearing is the key function of an entrepreneur. In fact, one can take risk or bear uncertainty only when  one has developed the quality of endurance. There may be ups and downs in business but one has to endure.   In the era of globalisation and market economy, there are ample growth opportunities as well as uncertainties due to the play of market forces. Our success will depend on endurance. One must be able to bear any kind of situation with come what may attitude.   To conclude, endurance is not the virtue of the weak rather it is the source of all strength. That is why it is said “Those who can bear all can dare all.”
