The poetess was driving back from her parent's home to Cochin when she looked at her mother seated beside her. She was taking a nap. Her mouth was open and her face was pale like that of a dead body. The poetess Jelt terrified and agonized at the thought of her mother growing old. The poetess also tries to shift away her thoughts. She is upset at the sight as it brings home the fact that her mother is inching close to death.
