    Show that f(x) = |cos x| is a continuous function. 

    Answer:

    Let g(x) = |x| and h(x) = cos x             = g(cosx) = [cos x]       Since modulus function and cosine functions are everywhere continuous therefore functions g and h are continuous. As composite function of two continuous function is continuous, so f is a continuous function.
