 What are the different ways through which the government can take steps to provide healthcare for all ? Discuss.  

Answer:

(i) The government should take action to prevent the spread of diseases like TB, malaria. Jaundice, cholera, diarrhoea, etc. It should organise with the participation of people. (ii) It should provide safe drinking water, adequate housing, clean surroundings, etc. (iii) At least 30 to 40 per. cent of health budget should be given to Panchayats and Municipalities. (iv) The government can cut the budget amount allocated for the security of the WIPs and VIPs. This amount should be spent on the management of the total healthcare of the people.
