Yes, he argues his case well. The points that he makes are that he is a very good boy. He has memorised the entire Quran. He even knows the last ten surats of Quran by heart. He can recite the entire ayat-al-kursi. He admits that he has made a mistake. But he did not eat them all alone. He fed the jalebies to a while lot of children. If he had known the scholarship money would be given the next month, he would not have spent the money. So, God should help him.
