    Answer:

     (i) Yes, the boy is intelligent. He has got scholarship of four rupees a month. (ii) Yes, his outlook on the jalebies episode changed after class VIII.  Yes, he sees it in a new light in the sense that if God gives everyone everything just for asking, man would be idle.   (iii) Coins are made to 'talk' to make the story more reliable and emphatic. It serves the purpose of a symbol of bad aspect which already remains in the feeling of a man. Here, it is highlighted to put its impact over. The good aspect is that it works as the agent of greed.
