    Factors which affect crop production are: (i) Biotic factors which cause loss of grains are rodents, pests, insects, etc. (ii) Abiotic factors, such as temperature, humidity, moisture, etc. Both biotic and abiotic factors affect crop production in following ways: (a) Poor germination ability (b) Infestation of insects (c) Weight loss (d) Discolouration
