SSC CGL Main Examination contains questions (usually 6) based on Synonyms and Antonyms. In these questions a word is given. The aspirants are required to choose the correct synonym or antonym for the word out of the given alternatives. The aspirants may be asked to choose the synonym or antonym for a word used in a sentence.
These questions are designed to test the aspirant's vocabulary and his ability to use the right words according to the context. It is a very important part of English language as a wrong word can change the meaning of the whole sentence.
