    Answer:

                    (a) When a person suffers from diabetes; his blood sugar level increases.                           (1) (b) If blood sugar is consistently high, over time it can affect the heart, eyes, kidneys, nerves and other parts of the body. A person suffering from diabetes cannot undergo any operation unless his blood sugar level is brought down with medication before the operation.                                                        (1) (c) The injection given by the pharmacist is of insulin. It is a hormone secreted by pancreas which helps in regulating blood sugar level. It was given in the form of infection to her grandfather when his pancreas is not able to release adequate quantity of insulin hormone due to which he has high blood glucose level. Thus, providing insulin externally will help regulating his blood sugar level.                   (2) (d) The values shown by the pharmacist are responsibility, caring attitude and humanity. (1)
