[NCERT] Let the resistance of an electrical component remain constant while the potential difference across the two ends of this component decrease to half of its former value. What change will occur in the current flowing through it? [NCERT]

    Answer:

We know that,         Since the resistance remains constant, so the current is directly proportional to potential difference. If the potential difference is halved, the current also gets halved.
