As the ore produces gas on heating, it should be
a sulphide ore.
This ore is concentrated by froth floatation process.
(b) The two steps involved in the conversion of sulphide ore
into related metal are
(i) The concentrated ore is first converted to its oxide
by the process of roasting.
(ii) Then the metal oxide is reduced with the help of a
reducing agent like carbon.
