wheat-growing zones in the country.
(i) The
Ganga-Satluj plains in the north-west.
(ii) The
black soil region of the Deccan.
The major wheat producing states are Punjab, Haryana, Uttar
Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and parts of Madhya Pradesh.
