But urban people and industrialists have more complex developmental
goals and they count development in terms of security, freedom, modern
facilities and world standard lifestyle comparable to developed countries.
So, development has different meaning to different sections
of the society.
(ii) Sometimes developmental aspirations are conflicting
among the sections of the society. For example an industrialist desire more
electricity and want more dams to set up for this purpose. "But the dams
make displacement of many local people. So, local community often protest
against such developmental projects.
Here, the developmental goal of industrialists and
local rural people are not only different but also conflicting .
A country should have a good plan to carry out
developmental work that caters goals of maximum people and avoid many conflicting
situations.
