The
National Alliance for People's Movement (NAPM) is an organisation of
organisations. Various movement groups struggling on specific issues are
constituents of this loose organisation which coordinates the activities of a
large number of people's movements in our country.
NAPM started as a process in 1992, amidst the impact of Ayodhya incident
and globalisation spree and took a definite shape in 1996, after a long
national tour of 15 states by senior activists. NAPM is a collective of diverse
people's movements and organisations and like-minded people that struggle
across India against injustice, exploitation and communal, ethnic, caste
and gender-based discrimination.
