How are the criteria for deciding divisions in plants different from the criteria for deciding the sub-groups among animals?

    Answer:

The body design of plants is very different than animals. The plants have body design based on their need to prepare their own food, whereas animals obtain their food from plants and animals. Hence, in animals other body features like presence of skeleton, etc is used to make sub-groups rather than making broad groups. Both plants and animals have different body designs so, the criteria for deciding divisions in sub-groups is totally different from animals.
