      State the universal law of gravitation. 

    Answer:

                      Every object in the universe attracts every other object with a force which is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. This force is directed along the line joining the centres of two objects. That is,  and  are masses of objects and r is the separation between them, then force of gravitation                 where G is a constant called universal gravitational constant.
