(d) Which values are absent in Raghu? What alternative  method  could  be  more beneficial for farming?

    Answer:

                                       (a) The adverse effects of modern farming involve the use of fertilisers and pesticides, which leads to soil pollution.                                   (b) The removal of useful components from the soil and addition of another substance, which affect the fertility of the soil and kill the diversity of the organisms that live in it, is called soil pollution. (c) In a long run, it will destroy the soil structure by killing the soil microorganism, which recycle nutrients in the soil. Organic farming is an alternative method which he can practice.    (d) Raghu showed the absence of awareness and concern about farming techniques. He should incorporate these values in himself.
