      State the role of plants in controlling flood and air pollution.

    Answer:

                  Plants play a major role in controlling flood and air pollution. The roots of plants bind the soil particles and prevent the soil from erosion,                            (ii) The leaves of green plants synthesize food from carbon dioxide present in atmosphere and release oxygen in the atmosphere. The oxygen is returned to the atmosphere   in   only   one   major   process, i.e., photosynthesis. Hence, green plants play major role in controlling flood and air pollution,
