(ii) The cell is isodiametric in shape and cell wall is thin that
encloses dense cytoplasm and small nucleus.
(iii) The cells are loosely packed with large intercellular
spaces occurring in between them.
(iv) It is found in soft parts of plant such as cortex of roots,
ground tissue in stem and mesophyll cells of leaves.
(v) It serve as a packing tissue, to fill the spaces
between other tissue and maintain the shape of plant.
(vi) It stores waste product of plant such as tannin, gum,
