Can any object have mechanical energy even if its momentum is zero?

    Answer:

The energy in a body due to its position or state of strain is called potential energy (mgh). Momentum, p = mv. If v is zero, then momentum will be zero. Since, potential energy {i.e., mechanical energy) does not depend upon the velocity. So, object can have mechanical energy if its momentum is zero.
