oppression and brutal killings and the party that led the freedom struggle sat

After two years of debate and discussion they came out with a Constitution,
which gave to its citizens the most extensive rights available in any country.
The Constitution makers decided that everybody should become a part of the new South
Africa, despite whatever they hade done in the past.
