The first one explains the situation that the pillar did not move because of its inertia while the second one says that it is because action and reaction forces cancel each other's effect. Which of the two friends give correct justification? Compare the values of both the boys. If Newton's third law holds good, why don't action and reaction forces cancel each other when we walk?
