Answer:

                  To protect the flora and fauna of the country, the government has taken the steps which include (i) 89 National Parks, 49 Wildlife Sanctuaries and many Zoological Gardens have been set up to take care of our natural heritage. (ii) 18 Biosphere Reserves have been set up in the country to protect flora and fauna. (iii) Project Tiger, Project Rhino, Project Great Indian Bustard and many other eco-developmental projects have been introduced by the government to protect endangered species of wildlife.
