    Answer:

                      The Shiwaliks are the outermost range of the Himalayas. Their altitude varies from 900 to 1100 m and the length of the range is about 2400 kms from Jammu and Kashmir to Arunachal Pradesh. The width of this range varies from 10 to 50 kms. It is composed of thick gravel and alluvium brought down by rivers.
